UCI Center on Stress & Health
The Center for the Advancement of Perioperative Health (CAPH) was established in 1993 at Yale University by Zeev N. Kain, MD, MBA, to improve the quality of life for both children and adults during the perioperative period. CAPH was focused on reducing anxiety and pain. In 2008, the research expanded its field of investigation to include multidisciplinary approaches to managing pain and anxiety in a broader range of medical settings and situations.
As a result, the center was renamed the UCI Center on Stress & Health (UCI CSH).
